UK trade references now include August 2026.

What changed

The dataset grows from 19,995 to 20,019 reported metric values. Eight records for new battery-electric passenger vehicles (CN 87038010), reported by the UK against China, each contribute net mass (kg), supplementary Number and customs value (GBP). This is neither 24 vehicles nor a retail-sales count.

The new source snapshot was captured on 3 November 2026. Its records cover August 2026; capture date is not the trade month. The previous 19,995 values and their original provenance are preserved.

Scope and units

Port-month records are not additive to separately reported national totals. China origin versus consignment remains unresolved. GBP values are customs trade values, not retail prices. The August control file SMKA122608.txt, line 8973, defines KG and NO for CN 87038010. Missing data is not zero. Earlier unresolved units retain their previous status.

There are 10 source snapshots representing 9 source families and 43 market/aggregate series. Vehicle-specification coverage remains 10 countries; this update adds no vehicle market or model specifications.
