ChinaEV Global is building a record of Chinese-brand electric vehicles in the Australian market. This page explains the scope of that work, lists the vehicle records published so far, and describes the method every measurement must pass before it appears anywhere on the site. It deliberately carries no figures of its own.

Models followed but not yet published for Australia: BYD Atto 3, BYD Dolphin and BYD Seal U. Each is marked insufficient verified data in the BYD brand record, and none appears with a figure anywhere on this site. A model joins the list above only when it has its own vehicle record built from admitted measurements.

Snapshots, not scrapes
Vehicle data on this site comes from dated captures of named sources. Each capture is hashed, and the hash is published beside the figures it produced, so a reader can check that the page still matches its basis. Nothing is fetched live at view time and nothing silently updates.
A floor of three
A model receives figures on this site only when at least three admitted canonical-tier measurements exist for that exact model in this market, each bound to a pinned snapshot. Fewer than three, and the model is listed by name with an explicit insufficient-verified-data notice instead. The floor exists because one or two data points invite exactly the speculation this site is built to avoid.
Withheld, never estimated
When a source disagrees with itself or a field was not captured, the affected field is labelled rather than filled. No averages, no conversions between test procedures, no placeholder ranges. A blank that says why is more useful than a number that only looks authoritative.

Figures live where their proof lives
Every measurement published on this site is provenance-bound: a capture date, a named source, a snapshot hash and a machine-readable evidence file sit behind it. Those anchors belong to a specific vehicle record. Reproducing the numbers on a market overview would copy the figures while leaving their proof behind, so this page links to records instead of restating them. A reader who wants a value is always one click from the evidence that produced it.
No market-level arithmetic
This page publishes no rankings, no averages, and no counts of verified cost data, because the site’s dataset contains no canonical price fact for any vehicle in any market today. Aggregating figures across models would also mean mixing test procedures and snapshot dates in a single column — the exact practice the vehicle records are structured to prevent. When several models in this market carry admitted data, comparisons will be built as their own reviewed page form, not smuggled into an overview.
What a vehicle must show before it appears
The list in section 01 is short by standard, not by neglect. Each entry required a dated capture of a named source, admission of individual measurements, a snapshot hash, and a published record that binds the two. The models named but unpublished have no such foundation yet in this market. They are acknowledged so the scope of the work is visible, and they carry no numbers because acknowledging a model is not the same as knowing it.
A snapshot of the work itself
This page describes the record set as it stands, and the record set changes only through reviewed builds: each change to a vehicle record is rebuilt from its admitted data, re-pinned in a release manifest, and re-run through the site’s quality gate before it ships. When a second vehicle in this market earns a record, the list grows and this page is rebuilt to say so. Until then the page stays small, honest about its size, and marked noindex — published for people, withheld from search indexes until its own gate review clears it.
